Welcome to exo FYTY: From You To You

fromyoutoyou is a community where participants are required to give comment to all of the submission fics. The reason we make this is because of the lack of comments lately on fest submissions. From some of our experiences, many authors still got comments, but not all of them. We would like to call writers to give feedback to each others in a positive way, because from what we see, the only one who understand writers--who spent their time writing fics--are writers themselves.

Rules

1. You have to be a writer (you will later fill a form where you have to tell us your username and what fests you have joined for the past months/years.)

2. You need to be able to received and give constructive comments (more details below) to all submitted fics.

3. You will submit one posted fic for round one, one posted fic which will get comments from other writers on the community.

4. Remember that this will be a private community and only participants could see the comments on the post.

5. You must have a DW account.

Constructive comments

We know not all people could make and want constructive comment. That's why mods will screen the comments first later on before we approved them to be seen by the authors.

We encourage you to give critics in a positive way, not in a damaging way. Think of how you want your story to receive comments from others who read it. We want it to be more than just 'I like this story', we want you to be as details as possible. Show your love for the stories; which part do you like, which scene, which dialogue, the characters. For constructive part, we would like it if you can tell about the pace, the character, the flow, etc.

What you can not add in the comments are;

- asking for sequel
- only give negativity
- being rude
- telling how the story should end with certain scenes
- saying that you don't like a character or any other element that make you don't want to read it or can't finish it.

There are many ways of writing a comment, you can also remind writers if you spot any grammar mistakes, but what we want to focus on is what do you think of the fic plot aside from the grammar mistakes (ex; what the writer need to improve, etc). Please be polite and again, imagine it as your old fic that you already forgotten how it goes and when you read it again, you're amazed of yourself that you can make this kind of story!

*We also think of asking the writers what kind of comment they are expecting or focusing on (for example: focusing on plot comment, or asking how the characters developments are.).

Claiming Addition Information

1. You need to have the time to read all fics and make sure to leave comment for each of them.

2. You have to be able to read any pairings (For Round 1).

Timeline

1. For participant who already filled the form, we will give you a week to change your fic (if you want to). We will only link your submission fic it to a post.

2. You have to leave the comments on our community.

3. We will reveal the comments maximum of three per day. It depends on the average of comments received per fic. (example: if fic A got 3 comments, fic B got 4 comments, and fic C got 2 comments, we will only reveal 2 comments on that day)

3. We will give writers time two weeks to catch up with all stories. (This can be change according to participants' number and schedule. We might make a poll for it too.)

4. The submission's fic word count is from 1,000 words to 5,000 words, it can be any pairing and any genre. (Because this is our first round, we want to test it with a short word counts first.)
